Just unplug her from the dock, set sail and enjoy.

SAILING A CAFÉ RACER

Fast, responsive and agile, the Café Racer is a pure joy to sail. Taking the light, positive helm or relaxing in the passenger cockpit, you feel a direct connection with the sea. When trimming the sheets there’s a vast amount of sailpower at your fingertips, but two people can sail her with ease. Without any backstays or runners, tacking or gybing the square-top main is a breeze. With the big asymmetric unfurled, she power reaches on the plane at 20 knots plus.

The transition between cruising and racing modes can be almost seamless, and she has great potential on the regatta circuit with a full crew on board. A growing fleet is based in Palma, where Baltic Yachts Service & Refit is on hand to deliver full-service gardiennage and manage all aspects of ownership.

DESIGN

A lot of intensive, cutting edge design and development work was required to create a yacht with this level of performance that is also this versatile and easy to sail. The vision for the project was a real challenge for the large team of world class experts involved. The result is unique and truly special. The hull shape is incredibly fast in all wind conditions and also immensely stable.

Her construction is as sophisticated as a grand prix racing yacht, with the same build quality and precision, but also an exceptionally high standard of finish. The exterior design is distinctive and stunning. The cockpit is spacious, comfortable and safe. The deck layout is remarkably clean and efficient. Under power she is almost silent and manoeuvres in harbour with ease.

LIVING SPACES

The Café Racer provides spacious, luxury accommodation for you to entertain a group of friends or spend a comfortable weekend on board, with an extra cabin or two for your guests or crew. Several layout options are available. The broad, open cockpit is a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon in an anchorage, with adjustable seating, day beds and tables, and an awning above for shade.

The open transom is ideal for bathing, giving easy access in and out of the water. The saloon is roomy, airy and bright with good sea views from the sofas and a well-equipped galley. The full-beam owner’s cabin has a king size bed and a large en suite bathroom, plus a study desk and ample stowage for everything you might bring on a weekend cruise.

WHAT EXPERTS SAY ABOUT THE CAFÉ RACER

Baltic Yachts’ craftsmanship and attention to detail has elevated our design to an extraordinary level of quality and precision. This is a yacht for owners and their friends who want their sailing exciting, easy and enjoyable. When the mood takes them, the Café Racer is ready to GO!

Javier Jaudenes, Naval Architect

The 68-footer is impressively responsive, combining simplicity, comfort, and spaciousness with a highly efficient sails and rig. A true pleasure to sail, optimized for both shorthanded cruising and tight racing, with exciting growth ahead for the class, starting at the Palma Superyacht Cup.

Jens Christensen, Director at North Sails

For the Café Racer without any backstays, the real benefit from structured luff technology is the fact that we don’t have to pull on the headstay as hard in order to achieve the same amount of headstay sag. All our modelling together with Marstrom’s shows that we can achieve acceptable amounts of headstay sag with the way the mast has been engineered, making tacking really very easy for day sailing.

Scott Zebny, Global Superyacht Sales Manager at Doyle Sails
