THE BALTIC LOG AUTUMN 2022

6 October 2022

Dear Baltic Log Reader,

Welcome to the autumn 2022 edition of the Baltic Log, your personal update on what’s happening at Baltic Yachts in Finland and Palma de Mallorca where our Service and Refit division is going from strength to strength.

With superyachting back in full swing, the importance of our Service and Refit operation has come into sharp focus, so there is an emphasis in this issue on what it has to offer. We report on everything from a retro-fitted hardtop for Baltic 175 Pink Gin and a major refit on the Swan 115 Jasi, to restoration projects for the first yacht we ever built, the Baltic 46 Queen Anne, and the 1993 Baltic 43 Tuuli.

Queen Anne’s fascinating back story spans the life of Baltic Yachts itself and, appropriately, we very much hope to be welcoming her to our 50th anniversary next year which will culminate in a special Baltic Yachts Rendezvous in Sardinia in September.

It’s been another award-winning year for Baltic Yachts with Baltic 146 Path and Baltic 117 Perseverance both being recognised for excellence in design and construction. Perseverance, which took centre stage at the recent Monaco Yacht Show, also won the Boat International Yacht of the Year Award and the Eco Award for her innovative power saving systems. You can read about all these achievements in this issue of Baltic Log.

Coinciding with next year’s 50th anniversary celebrations will be the launch of three new yachts, the ultra-light, Botin-designed Baltic 111, which takes Baltic Yachts’ approach to weight saving to new levels, the multi-role Baltic 110 with her exciting new take on interior design and the Baltic 68 Café Racer Open Season, an all-carbon, high-performance version of this innovative new class.

This issue of Baltic Yachts brings you right up to date with all these projects and also presents a stunning picture feature of Freedom, the latest Baltic 67 Performance Cruiser with her open plan accommodation, iPhone remote control features and high-speed, electric jet-powered tender.

We hope you enjoy this overview of the wide-ranging activities at Baltic Yachts and look forward to meeting you at one of the events listed in this issue of Baltic Log, including our anniversary Baltic Yachts Rendezvous which runs from 14-17 September next year in Porto Rotondo, Sardinia. Save the date!

We wish you great sailing and fair winds.
