THE BALTIC LOG SPRING 2022

22 March 2022

Welcome to the spring 2022 edition of the Baltic Log, your personal update on Baltic Yachts’ news.

As yachting welcomes back regattas, boat shows and superyacht events, Baltic Yachts can look back on a record year of new launches and forward to a busy new-build programme plus plans for our 50th birthday in 2023, culminating in a spectacular Baltic Yachts Rendezvous celebration.

This edition of the Baltic Log records the launch and first impressions of the stunning Baltic 146 Path, the Baltic 117 Perseverance and the first Baltic 68 Café Racer Pink Gin Verde. All three display the latest in superyachting technology and reflect the drive for sustainability and low carbon yachting Baltic Yachts continues to work towards.

Path and Perseverance have already sailed several thousand miles each and their captains report on thrilling sailing performances and the efficiency of everything from electric drives and solar power to energy-saving smart technology.

Meanwhile, Pink Gin Verde has been impressing on the race course and showing off her new sail technology designed to not only give her a performance edge, but also make sailing easier and more enjoyable. In addition, she’s attracted a lot of attention for her eco-friendly build materials.

Back in Finland we are well advanced with the Baltic 110, a multi-role super-sailing yacht with a brilliant new take on interior design. The Baltic 111, is a new high performance yacht, which shines a light on Baltic Yachts’ unique ability to build to the most exacting weight tolerances and to the very highest standards. We are also well advanced with the third example of our Baltic 67 Performance Cruiser, designed for easy shorthanded sailing.

Roland Kasslin, who retired this year, has been at the very heart of Baltic Yachts since its foundation. His unmatched contribution to research, development, design and innovation is recognised in this issue of the Baltic Log as we say farewell and thank him for all he has done for the company.

Finally, a date for your diary – 14-17, September 2023 – when Baltic Yachts’ 50th birthday Rendezvous Regatta will take place in Porto Rotondo, Sardinia. We very much hope to see you there and, in the meantime, there are more details in this edition of the Baltic Log.

We wish you good sailing and fair winds in 2022!
