BALTIC 97 PINK GIN

One of a number of yachts bearing the same name for a repeat Baltic Yachts customer, this powerful sailing yacht is traditional in appearance, but beneath her teak veneers she is a hi-tech, carbon composite build.

With her long overhangs and a traditional sheer she possesses timeless good looks and has fulfilled her role as a comfortable, fast, long distance cruising yacht.

Not only is she teak decked, but her teak-skinned coachroof sides were given a high gloss varnish finish, creating the impression of a traditionally-built wooden yacht.

In fact, her hull and deck are a composite of carbon and aramid laminates plus epoxy, vacuum-bagged to enable close weight and resin distribution control.

Even with a considerable amount of onboard equipment the yacht´s final displacement of 52 tons was still very low for a yacht of her size and era, ensuring a performance which continues to belie her traditional looks.
