BALTIC 72 STIG
The Baltic 72 Grand Prix Stig was a joint R&D project between Baltic Yachts and the owner. The boat was designed by judel/vrolijk & co to comply with the mini maxi IRC rules.
This high performance 72-footer was built using a prepreg carbon epoxy sandwich laminate with a Kevlar honeycomb core in both hull and deck.
Other features include a deep draft fixed keel and a Retractable Propulsion System (RPS) which enables the propeller to be withdrawn into the hull to leave a flush underwater surface while sailing.
The interior is a mix of painted and untreated carbon with 14 pipecots, a galley area and one head. Stig is equipped with a Hall Spars carbon mast with racing boom and composite standing rigging.
