BALTIC 61 ALEDOA

This clean-lined, good-looking cruising yacht was designed with no rating rule in mind, but with the intention of focusing on high performance within the cruising envelope.

Naval architect judel/ vrolijk carried out extensive performance calculations using VPP (velocity prediction program) software and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) studies, but with the freedom of focusing on outright performance rather than trying to design to any rule.

Various displacement, sail area and stability alternatives were analysed to seek optimum performance for the predominantly light winds of the Mediterranean where the boat is based.

Together with a powerful high aspect ratio sail plan and efficient fin and bulb torpedo style keel this yacht is fast in all conditions particularly light airs.
