BALTIC 45 BODACIOUS3

This is a Reichel/Pugh design, a light and aggressive-looking speed machine. The owner´s wish was for an easy to handle single-handed, high performance sailing yacht with luxurious accommodation for day sailing, a real wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Displacing just over six tons, she is remarkably light for her 49ft 7in length overall. She features hull chines, twin rudders and a lifting keel plus, of course, a strong, light, stiff carbon composite hull and deck.

When she was launched Bodacious3 represented state-of-the-art design and construction using highly advanced lightweight structures and production methods.

While the focus was on speed, the yacht had to perform as a day-sailer and the overall aim included building something beautiful – a genuine and unique work of art.
