Three Baltics join 31-strong St Barths Bucket fleet
9 March 2022
…and a chance to sail the exciting Baltic 68 Pink Gin Verde
The world’s largest superyacht competition, The St Barths Bucket Regatta, gets underway on Thursday March 17 in the Caribbean where three Baltic Yachts’ entries, Baltic 197 Hetairos, Baltic 141 Cavallo and Baltic 112 Nilaya will vie for podium finishes.
Baltic Yachts will be supporting the event in a ‘Friends of the Bucket’ capacity and personnel including Baltic’s EVP Henry Hawkins, Sales Director Kenneth Nyfelt and Head of Marketing Elisabet Holm will be attending.
The St Barths Bucket comprises three races for the main fleet running from March 17-20 inclusive with prizegiving on the final day. The J-Class regatta comprises five races held over three days. An impressive programme of social events takes full advantage of the spectacular setting in Gustavia on St Barthelemy and this year’s chosen charities will be the Youth Sailing Programme at the St Barths Yacht Club and The Territorial Fire and Rescue Service of Saint Barthelemy.
A chance to sail Baltic 68 Pink Gin Verde
Pink Gin Verde, the first Baltic 68 Café Racer, will be in St Barths for the Bucket. She will be out sailing, but not racing, alongside the Bucket fleet and will be available for potential clients on request.
It’s a great opportunity to see first-hand the exacting build and finish standards set by Baltic Yachts and the package of ‘green’ innovation which distinguishes this boat. She has already shown herself to be a fast and competitive yacht at Les Voiles de St Tropez.
Latest sail technology
To get the best out of Pink Gin Verde, Doyle Structured Luff technology is being used which means headstay sag is dramatically reduced by building support into the sail itself rather than imposing high stay loads.
With her swept spreader Marstrom rig requiring no backstays, mast bend is achieved through luff adjustment of the structured luff mainsail. This is a very simple, safe and rewarding yacht to sail.

Intended as a super-day sailer or long weekender, Pink Gin Verde has a smart, modern, comfortable interior styled by Design Unlimited using sustainable materials in her upholstery and furnishings. There’s luxurious sleeping accommodation for four.
Baltic Yachts Executive Vice President, Henry Hawkins, said: “This is a yacht which tackles today’s challenges of sustainability and low carbon targets head on – she’s fun and easy to handle, offering a genuinely rewarding sailing experience. Baltic’s engineers and partners have incorporated a brilliant, naturally grown yacht building material in sustainable flax which perfectly complements the advanced composites expertise for which the company is renowned.”
We’re confident the Baltic 68 Café Racer offers a modern, attractive package which clients will be keen to buy into, he said.
Henry, Kenneth and Elisabet are looking forward to seeing at the St Barths Bucket!
