THE BALTIC LOG SPRING 2021
13 April 2021
Although it’s been a long winter, the new Baltic Log Spring 2021 provides plenty of evidence of brighter times to come with three yachts launching and two new commissions confirmed.
The client for the Baltic 111 Custom, which is about to start construction in Jakobstad, wants a super-light yacht and he chose Baltic Yachts because of our proven track record of achieving displacement targets using our unique in-house weight calculation programs.
We’ve also sold Baltic 67PC-03 to a client who wants his yacht optimised for short-handed sailing and our sales team reports that there is further good news to come.
As we move into spring, all eyes will be on the launch of the exciting Baltic 68 Café Racer, a super-cool, easy to sail yacht with a host of eco-friendly credentials including her flax reinforced hull and eco-propulsion system. And she will be followed into the water by two truly stunning yachts, the Baltic 146 Custom and the classically styled Baltic 117 Custom.
There’s plenty of specialist Baltic expertise to focus on in this issue with a detailed look at our new Baltic Yachts Custom Hatch initiative and why opting for Baltic Yachts’ bespoke programmable logic control makes sense for you and your yacht.
As we approach our 50th birthday in 2023, we’re taking a look back in this issue with Baltic’s founding father Per-Göran ‘PG’ Johansson, whose candid recollections of a lifetime in yacht building make for entertaining reading. PG will be writing an occasional blog in the run up to our birthday celebrations and we hope this article will encourage you to continue reading!
We very much hope you enjoy this issue of our Baltic Log and I wish you good health and good sailing in 2021.
