Baltic Yachts secures order for second Baltic 67 Performance Cruiser

1 December 2017

The second Baltic 67 Performance Cruiser is now under construction at Baltic Yachts’ Bosund yard. She displays key differences to Baltic 67-01, demonstrating the company’s ability to offer semi-custom design off the same hull mould to meet customer demand.

Designed for fast cruising for an experienced yachtsman and a Baltic Yachts’ repeat client, this yacht will feature a closed transom – Baltic 67-01 was designed with an open transom option – and a fixed keel drawing 3.3m rather than the telescopic version for the first yacht. As a result, naval architects judel/vrolijk have designed her with a single, deeper rudder and an easy to handle sailplan, slightly shorter than the standard option.

Baltic Yachts sales director Marcus Jungell explained that this client has opted for an anchor stowed on a short fixed bowsprit an arrangement which is becoming increasingly popular because of its simplicity.

Like the first yacht she will be built in the same split mould and constructed in E-Glass with local carbon fibre reinforcements. The deck will be in a carbon/foam composite.

Interior specialists Design Unlimited offers several accommodation lay out options with this owner opting for a forward facing owner’s double in the large, en suite fore cabin, one twin berth cabin and one single berth cabin and a further double in the aft starboard quarter.

Baltic Yachts 67PC-02 will be launched in May 2019.
